Year 6 had an enjoyable week during their activity week here at Garlinge. It was an action-packed week with plenty of exciting trips and activities arranged.
On Monday, we visited Wingham Wildlife Park, where we were lucky enough to see a good variety of animals from across the world. We were also able to take part in a 'hands-on' session, where we even held a tarantula if we wanted to! At the end of our day, we listened to a penguin presentation and learnt a variety of interesting facts about these unusual birds.
On Wednesday, we were very lucky to be able to visit the Discovery Park at Pfizer's to take part in a science activity day. Here, we participated in some interesting hands-on activities, where we learnt about unusual aspect of Science.
On Thursday, we became chefs for the day, designing and creating our own pizzas. Maggie in the kitchen helped to prepare the dough and then we used a variety of ingredients of our choice to load our pizzas! They were delicious and we all enjoyed eating them together at lunch time!
Friday was another exciting morning; we walked to Strokes Crazy Golf in Westbrook, where we played a round of crazy golf and had a refreshing ice cream at the end to finish off our week!
OUr activity week included a range of organised events that we will certainly remember from our time in year 6!
