This week has been filled with excitement, colour, and creativity as our pupils celebrated our school’s annual Arts Week, this year themed around “Superheroes.”
Throughout the week, our children explored the meaning of being a hero, reflecting not only on fictional superheroes but also on real-life heroes who make a difference every day. From firefighters and nurses to family members and friends, our pupils considered the qualities that define a hero, including kindness, bravery, and helping others.
Inspired by these ideas, our children immersed themselves in a wide range of creative activities. Our school buzzed with imagination as our pupils produced vibrant artwork and crafts, wrote poems and stories, and developed energetic dance routines. Music also played a key role, with our children creating and performing songs linked to the superhero theme.
The week built up to an exciting finale, with Garlinge pupils proudly showcasing their work in a colourful superhero parade. Dressed in colourful clothes and costumes they displayed their creations, with the children celebrating their achievements with confidence and enthusiasm.
The celebration was a memorable end to a week that highlighted not only artistic talent but also the important message that everyone has the potential to be a hero.
