"Inclusion at our Heart"

Garlinge Primary - Headteacher

The staff, governors, pupils and parents at Garlinge Primary School and Nursery are very proud of our successful school. We have served our local community since the 1930’s and are now one of the largest primary schools in East Kent. We have recently undergone a significant expansion which has provided us with many new classrooms, a new sports hall and an IT learning space.

At Garlinge we celebrate diversity and respect all children, regardless of ability, gender, ethnicity or religion. During our most recent Ofsted inspection (March 2018), it was noted that staff ‘have an unwavering commitment and determination to provide the best possible experiences for all pupils in a happy, calm and aspirational environment’.

As we have grown, so have the opportunities that we offer our pupils. We currently offer FREE forest school education at the Quex Park site for all our Year 1 and Year R pupils, free school day trips and visits for all pupils from Year R-6 and high quality sports and PE teaching to pupils across the school. Our recent success have also led to many after school clubs, tournaments and competitions for sport and music, as well as many opportunities to learn outside the classroom across our exciting curriculum.

We are committed to working in partnership with parents and families and welcome you to take advantage of the many formal and informal occasions we offer to enhance home-school relationships. Prospective parents are warmly invited to look around our inclusive school – we think that you may be very impressed! Please call the school office to arrange an appointment.

With best wishes,

Mr J Williams
Executive Headteacher
